SKATEBOARDING IN THE METRO IN PARIS | NICOLAS JAIS-NIELSEN

I can stay hours staring at skateboarders in some places in Paris, like the Republic Place.

‌Very often what they are trying to achieve seems impossible to do, but they carry on trying and trying, it is fascinating.

‌I saw one in the metro which appeared like an alien to me, so in my creation, I made his face green.

‌The board it self and the character is explicit therefore I tried to bring some confusion in his body and some movement in the board with a lonely wheel almost detached from the skate.

‌The metro station is a quite unusual place for skateboarders.

This is what inspired me.

I wanted to show the mystery of the dark tunnel starting from the station and the perspective of the platform using three type of grey colors.

Triangular shapes give additional perspective.

‌The wall and the roof are united in bright color’s with some suggested adverts and signs.

‌Both blue color’s on the bottom right are there, I don’t really know why, but I could not remove them so they must be necessary…
